Multi-Year Transformation of Epcot
Epcot continues the biggest transformation of any Disney theme park in history, developing groundbreaking attractions, magnificent new landscapes and unforgettable entertainment spectaculars. At its completion, Epcot will be unified with four neighborhoods: World Showcase, World Celebration, World Nature and World Discovery.
In 2020, World Showcase will celebrate:
- The debut of “HarmonioUS”, a new nighttime spectacular celebrating how the music of Disney inspires people all over the world.
- Remy’s Ratatoullie Adventure, an attraction in the France pavilion where guests will shrink to the size of Chef Remy and race through Gusteau’s restaurant on a wild adventure.
For the foodie in the family, Epcot will open two new dining experiences:
- Space 220 in World Discovery will offer guests a celestial daytime and nighttime views of Earth from 220 miles up.
- Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbeque in the American Adventure will serve classic American backyard barbeque and home-style craft brews.
In addition to these unique offerings, Epcot will celebrate all of the signature festivals that have become a beloved tradition, making there no better time to experience the energy and excitement of this period of transformation.
Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway
Recently announced was the opening date of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park in Walt Disney World. Debuting on March 4th, 2020, it’s all aboard for all ages in the first ride-through attraction in any Disney park themed to Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. Guests will burst through the Chinese Theatre movie screen and join Mickey, Minnie and pals on a wacky adventure that will feature dazzling visual effects, a loveable theme song and surprising twists and turns. This attraction will also debut at Disneyland Park in California in 2022.
Magic Happens Parade
Set to debut Febuary 28th, 2020, at Disneyland Park in California, the new “Magic Happens” parade will come to life with an energetic musical score and two original songs co-composed by singer-songwriter Todrick Hall. Led by Mickey Mouse and his pals, the parade will feature stunning floats, beautiful costumes, and beloved Disney characters, all celebrating the awe-inspiring moments of magic that are at the heart of so many Disney stories. Depicted in this image on her voyager canoe, Moana journeys forth on the crest of a towering wave, inspired by beautiful koa wood carvings and inset with dazzling, animated glimpses into the magic the ocean holds.
