As part of our ongoing Unexpected Event Venue series, we’ll introduce you to a dynamic and unique space at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Disneyland Resort in California, or Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii.
Today, are excited to share another unexpected venue with you. Introducing: Living Seas Salon.
A quick trip from the Disney convention resorts, Epcot is home to a variety of private event venues that immerse attendees in a world of cultural wonder and history. Located within Living Seas Pavilion, this venue can accommodate up to 84 attendees for a meeting; up to 144 attendees for a breakfast, lunch, or dinner event; or up to 200 attendees for a reception.
Upon entering the venue, attendees will be instantly immersed in this glowing, aquatic-themed setting. As one of the most exclusive private event venues at Walt Disney World Resort, this venue will allow your attendees to get up close to over three thousand varieties of sea life in the Living Seas’ 5.7 million-gallon aquarium.
Our floral team can help planners select thematic table décor for the event. Glass cylinders with green orchid floating candles are a captivating centerpiece idea. And, they complement the apple green satin napkins tied with raffia and abalone shells.
Planners can team up with Disney’s award-winning culinary team to create a seafood-centric menu that complements the venue and theme. The recommended appetizer menu for events hosted in this venue are passed chilled items featuring duck confit and raspberry caviar spoons and driftwood smoked beef; a seafood martini station featuring mahi escabeche and blackened scallop with fire-roasted corn and tomato; and a soup and salad station featuring creamy lobster bisque and sea salted lavosh.
For the main course, a surf and turf station featuring risotto with brie cheese and wild mushrooms, red wine braised beef short ribs and fried onion streusel, and pan-seared shrimp are sure to delight your attendees’ taste buds. Additionally, cocktails, including beer, wine, and specialty beverages, can be added to create a premium event experience.
As an added enhancement, planners can select entertainment for the event or arrange a private viewing of Epcot’s nightly fireworks spectacular, IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth for attendees at Walt Disney World Resort.
This unexpected event venue gives meeting and event planners the ability to arrange elements to fit their group, timeline, and budget to keep attendees engaged and excited. Various elements of food and beverage, décor, and entertainment can be tailored to the planner’s preferences.
