Happy Holidays from Disney Meetings & Events! We hope your holiday season is merry & bright. During this time of reflection, our team would like to take a look back on some of our favorite moments from 2019 and extend a special thank you to our clients, guests and Cast Members who have made this monumental year possible. 

1. Opening of Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort 


This July we celebrated the Grand Opening of Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. The tower adds 545 new guest rooms to the resort, bringing the grand total of guest rooms to 2,416. Groups can now utilize a 24-seat boardroom and an additional 3,000 sq. ft. of elegant indoor and outdoor meeting space including a show kitchen, perfect for giving attendees an interactive culinary experience. The expanding dining options such as Toledo – Tapas, Steak and Seafood and addition of two new lounge options – Barcelona lounge and Dahlia lounge – elevate this resort to a destination in itself. We are excited for groups visiting Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in the coming years to experience the new Tower and all of its innovative amenities.   

2. IMEX America 2019 


IMEX America 2019 was a highlight of our year because we were able to reconnect with many of our current clients and additionally foster relationships with new ones. Our team enjoyed being able to spend time educating our guests on our new resort offerings, networking at our client events and taking photos with our Instagram frame! We cannot wait for the next IMEX America, but in the meantime be sure to check our news page to stay up to date with the latest and greatest happenings at our Disney Destinations.   

3. Debut of Epcot Forever Fireworks 


Our final favorite moment of 2019 was the debut of Epcot Forever fireworks. This new nighttime spectacular offering is great for groups returning to Disney and looking to create memories with a brand-new experience. Now is the perfect time to host a private dessert party in one of our World Showcase Pavilion venues in order to receive VIP viewing of this limited-time spectacle. Your guests will witness the wonder as the story of Epcot and its next incredible chapter come to life right before their eyes. Viewers will behold the “spark of imagination” that started it all, then they will watch it grow, evolve and transform into an epic nighttime extravaganza that stirs the senses and captures all you love about Epcot with stunning laser effects, dazzling fireworks and choreographed kites. Be sure to take in this limited-time spectacle before it is replaced with the permanent installation of HarmoniUS in 2020.
