When Disneyland Hotel opened in the 1950s, a grand opening ceremony was held with Harry James and his Orchestra, the Disneyland Marching Band, and numerous Disneyland Characters in attendance. The original design of the hotel was California poppies with large tapestries throughout the foyer and lounges. The first event held in the hotel was a party hosted by the Wrather Corporation in celebration of the beginning of the 19th television season for Lassie, in which the famous collie and her trainer were in attendance.

Located within the Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Resort in California, the 18,000-square-foot Disneyland Hotel Grand Ballroom has always been a popular venue for both meetings and events. This holistic ballroom space offers truly unique features, including a permanent stage for a keynote speaker or entertaining performance. The ballroom floor consists of two levels, one of which is a lower level pit in the Center Ballroom that has a permanent wood dance floor under removable carpet.

Perfect for any corporate or association meeting, this venue can accommodate a variety of meeting set-ups. It can host up to 1,518 attendees for a theater-style meeting, 939 attendees for a schoolroom-style meeting, and approximately 100 attendees for exhibitions and tradeshows.

This flexible ballroom can also be transformed to host your group’s meal or a catered event. With incredibly ample space, it can host up to 970 attendees for a breakfast, lunch, or dinner event. Planners can team up with Disney’s award-winning culinary team to develop a robust menu of drinks, appetizers, entrées, and desserts that will appeal to a variety of palates.

This unique venue gives meeting and event planners the ability to arrange elements to fit their group, timeline, and budget to keep attendees engaged and excited.
