Event Recap: Celebrating Global Meetings Industry Day 2019 with Disney Meetings & Events

Around the globe, meetings mean business, and that’s why we’re proud to celebrate our industry on Global Meetings Industry Day 2019

On April 4th, 2019, our Disney Meetings & Events team, along with meeting and event-industry professionals from around the globe came together to support Global Meetings Industry Day. The annual initiative was created to showcase the impact that meetings, conferences, conventions and incentive travel have on people, business and communities worldwide.

When people are gathered for face-to-face meetings, conferences, and events, it’s amazing what happens.

Talented Cast Members from Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, and our regionally based Cast Members located throughout the U.S. were eager to join in the celebration and share why they are proud to be part of the meetings industry.

Our regionally based Cast Members located throughout the U.S. participated in industry events, gave back to their local communities, and visited key landmarks in their respective regions to help advocate for the industry. From MPI's GMID Conference in Portland, OR to the Industry Xchange GMID Celebration in Chicago, IL, and even advocating for the Meetings Industry on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., our team was excited to represent Disney Meetings & Events and share how meetings mean business to them.

Even our Resort Sales and Marketing teams based in Orlando, FL had a lot of fun demonstrating their support for this globally-recognized day. And, of course, no celebration is complete without delicious cupcakes!
