Just moments ago, the Gran Destino Tower at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort was officially opened. Attendees were welcomed to the expansive Destino Plaza with enchanting live music from a Spanish guitar trio. Opening remarks were given by Senior Vice President of Resort and Transportation Operations, Thomas Mazloum. Walt Disney World Ambassador Alumna, Vanessa Rosas, hosted the Ceremony which featured a dazzling performance from authentic Spanish Flamenco Dancers.

Surrounded by a parade of resort cast members, Mickey Mouse made a special appearance to officially open the Gran Destino Tower with a picture-perfect burst of beautiful flower petals!

The majestic 15-story Gran Destino Tower will serve as the new entrance for Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, featuring a 2-story lobby and 545 brand-new guest rooms and suites. Guests will be dazzled by the colorful decorative bronze screens that glow behind the check-in area, rows of beautiful Moorish hanging lanterns, and the stunning arched windows that offer picturesque views of the glistening Lago Dorado.

Planners have unlimited possibilities with the 3 new multi-purpose rooms, a new 24-seat boardroom and an additional 12,000 sq. ft. of outdoor event spaces. The Catalonia boardroom is perfect for your group's formal meetings, featuring three widescreen monitors that will make your presentations pop.

Guests have ample dining options to choose from with the addition of Toldeo, the rooftop table service restaurant featuring private dining rooms and breathtaking views of the Walt Disney World Resort. Taking its name from the renowned Spanish city, this sophisticated dining experience serves classic tapas, savory steaks and seafood along with delightful desserts. Three unique private dining spaces - the Sunrise, Sunset and Moonlight rooms - allow guests and convention groups the option of a more intimate dining experience.

The Dahlia Lounge is full of whimsical forms, colors, unique lighting and especially unique libations. Guests can enjoy an evening of relaxation under the dandelion-esque chandeliers pictured above.

Other new Food and Beverage offerings include the 3 Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago, shown above, and the Chronos Club for guests with club access. Each of the dining areas feature unique architectural shapes and patterns that continue the distinctive organic style of Spanish Modernism.
